Word Magnets. A Unique Handmade Gift Possibility.
I used alcohol inks to color the tiles, darkened up the black with a sharpie and glued a magnet to the back. Simple and fun.
Scrap paper and metal tins offer endless options to beautifully finish your gift presentation.
Monogram & Custom Necklace Possibilities
Use E6000 to attach a bail to the back of the letter tile and you'll have a custom necklace pendant or bracelet charm in minutes.
Use a jump ring to add bead charms to your custom necklace. Use the letter as part of the design or make use of the blank back side of the tile. Add an image transfer onto the wood surface or decoupage pretty paper, word cut outs, or your favorite photo.
Key Chains. Another Handmade Gift Possibility!
Use an eye hook to make a vintage type inspired key chain charm.
Scrap & Mixed Media Art Possibilities
Again I colored the tiles with different alcohol inks. It's very easy, just drip the ink onto the surface and it spreads across the surface and soaks in. Your letter tiles will have that authentic, aged look, like they were used in a letter press printer.
Use the letters to add a custom embellishment to a simple picture frame... love, remember when, fun times, sisters, family, etc.
Coasters, Word Puzzles...
If you like a good puzzle its a fun challenge to figure out how to fit these different sized tiles together to form an irregular shaped coaster. I made this one start to finish in about 45 minutes.
